At Concentric, our recruiting philosophy is simple: we’re in the business of building relationships, not just filling positions. With thousands of candidates crossing our recruiting team each year, we approach every interaction with enthusiasm and respect.
We are thrilled to bring you Concentric Chronicles, where we highlight the journey our employees have taken to get to us and how their journey has been amplified with Concentric. Introducing Rachel Casselman, an Intelligence Program Manager (OSINT) who is our next feature!
What motivated you to join our company?
I was intrigued about the application of intelligence analysis in the private sector and was excited to learn analytical techniques from experienced professionals.
What advice would you give to new employees who are looking to grow or start their careers within our organization?
I would encourage them to ask thoughtful questions about the analytical process or a particular assessment to understand how senior analysts and leaders evaluate complex problems. I would also encourage new employees to network within Concentric to learn about their colleagues’ careers. So many people here have an interesting story, which makes for a fun conversation!
How have your career aspirations evolved since you joined Concentric?
Since joining Concentric, I’ve better grasped how to apply the intelligence cycle to support client requirements. Further, my analytical methodology has expanded, becoming more creative in how we identify and examine emerging risks.
Can you share a specific moment or project that significantly contributed to your career advancement here?
I had the privilege of supporting a project where I leveraged my data skills to build dashboards and create other visualizations. The visual products I helped create were ultimately shared across multiple stakeholders, including leadership, which highlighted the unique capabilities of the team I supported. We were all incredibly proud of the final products we developed to inform key decisions.
How has the company culture and environment supported your career progression?
I’ve greatly appreciated the many conversations I’ve had with Concentric employees about their career and the current trends they are seeing in the industry at large. These conversations have helped me think about my next step, such as how to continue progressing as an analyst and hopefully advance into a leadership role in the future.
