What is a typical day for you like at Concentric?

On a typical day, I do my best to make myself available to my colleagues and support them with any technical assistance they may need. This ranges widely from quick, in-the-moment technology requests and fixes, to much more involved projects that often involve multiple teams. As a result, very few days are alike, and I may find myself troubleshooting a printer one minute, then diving into the implementation of the ISO 27001 information security framework the next minute. Aside from supporting Concentric’s day-to-day technology needs, I also assist in making sure that Concentric’s cybersecurity is maintained through regular security audits.

Most importantly, I have the privilege of regularly interacting with colleagues from all across the organization, and externally with clients and vendors. I’m grateful that I get to have meaningful interactions with Concentric’s top-tier team every day.

How long have you been at Concentric and what part of your job do you find most fulfilling?

I’ve been at Concentric since December 2021. To this day, my favorite part of this job is getting to learn from my team members through conversation. The Concentric team is full of such highly-skilled and experienced individuals that it truly does leave me in awe. I am thankful that everyone is so gracious and willing to help or bring someone up. All in all, I appreciate the unique sense of collaboration and community that has been cultivated at Concentric.

What is your educational and professional background before joining Concentric?

I graduated from Los Angeles Pacific University in 2021 with a BS in Organizational Leadership. While my college journey was long and winding, I grew to love the program and learned to appreciate the intricacies of organizational structure, innovation, and crucially, the importance of learning to lead others through serving them.

Before Concentric, I worked in various tech support positions for Fintech and other service industries, including a 5 year stint at Apple Retail in my hometown of San Diego. During that time, I was also a professional and freelance musician for a short while.

I’m happy to bring this experience with me to Concentric!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Through and through, I am a movie nerd. I love rewatching classics and discovering new ones. In another life, I would’ve loved to be a cinematographer. When I’m not speaking in movie quotes, I’m also an amateur home cook – which has earned me my nickname at Concentric – “Chef”.

As transplants from California, my wife and I also love to explore new nature walk-worthy locations around Seattle and beyond. Some of our favorites have been Deception Pass, Leavenworth, Snoqualmie Falls – to name just a few.

What are you most looking forward to over the next year?

It’s an exciting time to be at Concentric, and I’m looking forward to the growth that will occur – both in my own professional development and as part of Concentric as a whole. As I pursue additional professional certifications, I’m hopeful that I will be able to better serve my team, and help those around me level up!
