What is a typical day for you like at Concentric?

The nice thing about Concentric is there is no “typical” day in my role as a Senior Program Manager with the Protective Operations Division. In this position, I have the opportunity to work across and with many of the other Concentric divisions, as well as with our many trusted partners that we work with across the globe on a daily basis. There is usually a new project coming up daily that I have the opportunity to jump in and help on.

How long have you been at Concentric and what part of your job do you find most fulfilling?

I am relatively new to Concentric, being fortunate to be brought on at the beginning of November 2023 (2 days after retiring from ATF!).  It is amazing what a small world it actually is as I have been meeting the different clients and partners we work with. I am regularly running into people I had met or worked with in my prior life. I think one of the most fulfilling parts of the job is being part of a great team again.  I am humbled every time I sit in on a meeting and hear the amazing backgrounds of the people at Concentric, with not one ego in the room and everyone working together to accomplish the mission.

What is your educational and professional background before joining Concentric?

I grew up in a very small town in rural Indiana and went to college at Ball State University on a swimming scholarship.  I received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Majoring in Criminology and History.  After college I was lucky to be hired by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) as a Special Agent where I spent the next 34 years, conducting investigations, being a member of the Special Response Team (SWAT), doing undercover work, running the Capitol Region Violent Crime Task Force, finishing up as the Chief of ATF Executive Protection Office, and running the security for the ATF Director and other high ranking officials. I retired from ATF at the end of October 2023.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two daughters when they are home from college.  I also enjoy staying active, working out regularly and doing home renovation projects.

What are you most looking forward to over the next year?

On a personal side, next year my oldest daughter will be our first to graduate from college! I can’t wait to see her walk across the stage and receive her diploma and our youngest will be starting her final year in college (last year of paying tuition!). On a professional side, I am looking forward to continuing to grow within the company and using my skill sets, both old and new, to contribute to Concentric’s successes. It is going to be a great year all around!
