What is a typical day for you like at Concentric?
I’m responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, so you can find me either designing project plans or helping work through the various stages of a variety of projects; the one thing you can count on, just about everyday you can find me collaborating with our various teams on our on-going projects. Concentric is built on relationships, and that’s just one of the things that make Concentric unique and special.
How long have you been at Concentric and what part of your job do you find most fulfilling?
I’ve been at Concentric since May of 2022. I started with the company as an intern from the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program, where I was able to work at Concentric as part of my transition from my life in the Army. After my internship was completed, I was lucky enough to be offered a full time position with Concentric. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to help me transition from my time in the military. I’m very thankful.
One of the things I love most about this job is I am offered the opportunity to work on projects that have impacts across the entire company; I enjoy collaborating and working with individuals from every team – and hope that my efforts positively impact their work.
What is your educational and professional background before joining Concentric?
Prior to joining Concentric, I served as a Counterintelligence Agent for 20 years in the US Army, with several deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. I spent the last 10 years assigned to the United States Army Special Operations Command before I retired as a Master Sergeant.
I studied Criminal Justice, and earned a BS from the University of North Texas as well as a Masters degree in Information Security and Privacy from the University of Texas at Austin. Hook ‘Em Horns!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sarah, and three kids, Chris, Henry and Adalina. The kids keep us busy and I’m really proud of who they are growing to be. I also love baseball (Go Rangers!), and working on my 1982 CJ5 but most of all I love to get outside and go for a run.
What are you most looking forward to over the next year?
I’m most excited to complete a very large and complex project that will positively impact our teams. It has been rewarding to work with individuals across the company and I’m excited to see the results of all of the hard work they have put in over the last year come to fruition.
