What is a typical day for you like at Concentric?
A day in the life as a Security Operations Coordinator is a unique one! Monday morning you could be reviewing internal processes, recapping weekend trips, and focusing on personal development, while the next day you could be managing multiple client requests and coordinating protective services in both domestic and international locations with our security partners.
How long have you been at Concentric and what part of your job do you find most fulfilling?
I’ve been at Concentric since January of 2023. So far, it’s been an amazing 10 months! What I find most fulfilling as a Security Operations Coordinator is the coordination and completion of projects. Sometimes it may take weeks or even just a matter of hours to coordinate one particular project, but once that project has wrapped and you’re able to look at at all the effort put in, not only by myself, but by our security partners too, it really shows what teamwork is all about. The icing on the cake is when our clients are more than pleased with our services as our goal is always to exceed their expectations. Building and sustaining client relationships has been a main focus of mine!
What is your educational and professional background before joining Concentric?
I attended California State University East Bay and earned a major in Criminal Justice with a focus in Community Alternatives and Corrections. The goal during my college years was to become a Police Officer and that changed once I ended up in the security world after working retail for five years. I spent six years at Meta, formerly Facebook, in which I was a Physical Security Lead, Security Operations Associate, and an Event Security Coordinator.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, it’s all about family for me! Whether that be going to the park or going to the zoo with my wife and our daughter, I always make spending time with them a priority. I also love to cook! I found that as a new hobby of mine when everything was locked down early on in the pandemic so Monday through Thursday I’m cooking up meals for my family (Kitchen’s closed on Friday’s!) and every now and then you can catch me baking banana bread or chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Aside from that, I’m a big movie junkie (Marvel & Star Wars) and a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan!
What are you most looking forward to over the next year?
Professional, over the next year I look forward to continue growing and developing in my role as the learning never stops. I plan on focusing on my professional development by attaining certifications that can help elevate my skillset and better serve my team and the company. Personally, right now I’m looking forward to my Los Angeles Lakers begin their run for the elusive 18th Championship!
